Project40Seven | Blackwell Earthmoving
Supporting communities through partnership
At Blackwell Earthmoving, we believe in using our resources and expertise to make a positive difference in the communities we serve. Through our support of Project40Seven, a charitable food initiative based in Leiston, our team has helped deliver food supplies to local people facing hardship.
Working alongside community partners and supported by employee volunteers, the initiative has contributed to the delivery of more than 36,000 meals to those in need. From logistics support to hands-on volunteering, our people have played an active role in helping ensure vital food supplies reach local families and individuals. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to creating meaningful social value and supporting stronger communities.
Castleford College's Give Construction a Try Event
Inspiring future careers in construction
Encouraging the next generation of talent is an important part of our commitment to creating sustainable communities. Team members from Hargreaves Industrial Services partnered with Castleford College to support its "Give Construction a Try" event, designed to introduce young people to careers in the construction industry.
During the event, local school pupils worked in teams to tackle practical engineering challenges, learning about problem-solving, teamwork and construction principles with support from our experienced colleagues. By sharing knowledge and providing real-world insight into the industry, we helped inspire young people to explore future opportunities in construction and engineering while showcasing the rewarding careers our sector can offer.
Hargreaves Land
Investing in community sport
Through our CSR Fund, Hargreaves Land supported Hatfield Town Cricket Club with a contribution towards new sporting facilities, including an artificial pitch and practice net. The investment supports a registered charity that provides coaching and opportunities for people of all ages and abilities across the local community. By investing in projects like this, we help create lasting community benefits, encourage participation in sport and contribute to healthier, more connected local communities.
